Our ACGME Fellowship programs offered are approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) and the accrediting boards specific to the respective program.
We will offer a number of fellowship positions in the next academic year. All first-year appointments are made through the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP). Please consult the NRMP for information about currently available positions.
Application materials for the fellowships at Virginia Mason MUST be forwarded to us through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) or as otherwise indicated.
All applicants must be candidates for an MD or DO medical licensure within the state of Washington.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is REQUIRED prior to the start of the fellowship tenure.

Applicants are selected based on their academic credentials, preparedness, aptitudes, abilities and communication skills, as well as personal qualities, such as motivation and integrity. Graduates of international medical schools applying for internship or residency, must submit the above required application documents and must have applied for, or hold a valid certificate from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) to be considered for an interview.
Applicants who are not U.S. citizens must meet the current requirements for an appropriate U.S visa* as specified by the United States government.
