Individuals looking to complete a Capstone or RN Refresher clinical experience with VMFH are responsible for securing their own preceptor for clinical rotations.

Your school is required to provide our team with details below:
Please note that an educational affiliation agreement (contract) must exist between VMFH and the educational institution for any student placement. If a current contract does not exist, this process can take between 1-3 months to coordinate.
Additionally, the school and the student must register with our 3rd party vendor, My Clinical Exchange for onboarding at any of our facilities. This onboarding platform does have a fee for students and on-site instructors.
VMFH Student Placement will send information over on this process once we receive the information requested above from your school coordinator.
Nursing Instructor Led, Observation, and Practicum experiences are coordinated by the VMFH Student Placement Department in partnership with Clinical Placements Northwest (CPNW). Affiliation Agreements must be in place for consideration of placement.
Once a student is offered a placement opportunity, they will be required to complete onboarding requirements.

The current process for placement of allied health students at Virginia Mason Medical Center (VMMC) or Virginia Mason Clinics has not changed at this time. If you are in need of placement at VMMC/VM Clinics, please reach out to the department or clinic directly.
