Virginia Mason Medical Center Parking Information

Parking at the Seattle main clinic

For appointments in the Buck Pavilion, please park in the Buck Garage. If your appointment is in the Lindeman Pavilion, park in the Lindeman Parking Garage, located under the building. Additional parking is available under the Benaroya Research Institute and the Terry and University Parking Lot.

Valet Parking: Bring your car to these locations and we'll do the parking for you.

  • Buck Pavilion Valet (1100 Ninth Ave.): Monday through Thursday - 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Friday - 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Benaroya Research Institute Garage (1201 Ninth Ave.): Enter westbound from Seneca Street between Ninth Avenue and Eighth Avenue. Elevators provide access to the street level on the corner of Ninth and Seneca. 6'5" clearance.

  • Monday through Friday (attended): 6 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Buck Garage (1100-1123 Ninth Ave.): Enter from Ninth Avenue, across the street from the Buck Pavilion. This garage does not provide elevator access. 6'4" to 6'6" (lower level) clearance. This lot uses pay stations.

  • Open 24/7

NOTE: You will need to pay your parking inside the facility before returning to your car.

Lindeman Parking Garage (1201 Terry Ave.):

Enter westbound from Seneca Street between Terry and Ninth avenues. This lot is located underneath the Lindeman Pavilion. There is elevator access directly into the Lindeman Pavilion from this garage. 6'2" to 6'8" clearance. This lot uses pay stations.

  • Monday through Friday: 5 a.m to 8:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sunday: 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

NOTE: You will need to pay your parking inside the facility before returning to your car.

Terry and University Parking Lot (1301 Terry Ave., outside surface lot): Located northeast of Lindeman Pavilion. From Seneca Street take Terry Avenue (across from Hospital turn around) to the parking lot.

  • Days and times this lot is attended (otherwise, use electronic pay machine — on evenings and weekends):
  • Sunday through Saturday: Open 24 hours

Terry and Spring Lot: Enter on Terry Avenue, between Spring Street and Madison Street, and across from Sorrento Hotel.

  • Sunday through Saturday: Open 24 hours

How to Use Pay Stations

  1. Enter the garage and take parking ticket.
  2. Bring the ticket to your appointment. Some departments may offer validation.

Before returning to your car – stop at a Pay Station.

  1. Insert your entry ticket.
  2. Insert validation (if given)
  3. Pay parking fee. (Credit card or cash accepted)
  4. Take new ticket.
  5. Make sure you have the new ticket to use when exiting in your car.
  6. Insert new ticket into the Exit Station as you drive out.

Intercom Systems

Intercom systems will be placed at the Exit Stations to provide assistance and answer questions after hours or when attendants are not available.

Lost Tickets

The Parking office and Buck Valet will handle requests for a replacement parking ticket. After hours assistance will occur via the Exit Station intercom.

Under 30 minute Grace Period

If you are under 30 minutes, you do not need to use the Pay Station, as the Exit Station will accept your ticket (four minute grace period). After that time you will be asked to pay with a credit card at the Exit Station.

Extended Stay Rates

Patients and visitors staying more than one week may register for discounted parking of $200 per month. Please see the attendant for details.

R.V. Parking

Limited R.V. parking is available by calling Parking and Commuter Services at 206-625-7385. Guests of the Inn at Virginia Mason have access to enclosed parking adjacent to the hospital. Room reservations are recommended. In Seattle, call 206-583-6453. Outside the area, dial toll-free, 800-283-6453.

Does Virginia Mason Validate Parking?

There is a built-in patient discount on all rates. We no longer use a stamp or validation stickers. Some departments may give additional discounts, this varies depending on the department you visit. A validation ticket is given in these cases.
