Neuropsychology
A neuropsychological evaluation helps to pinpoint the cause and severity of some neurological issues. The results enable your care team to recommend an effective treatment plan. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading neuropsychology programs and has served our community since the 1990s. Highlights of our program include:
Memory care services: Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is one of the few programs in the region offering comprehensive memory loss services. Our neuropsychologists work with cognitive neurologists, neuroradiologists and neurorehabilitation therapists to coordinate a personalized treatment plan.
Seamless services: Our neuropsychologists share assessment results with other members of your care team so they can determine the right treatments for you. We also collaborate with experts from our deep brain stimulation (DBS) and complex spine programs.
Access options: We regularly care for people from the Puget Sound area and beyond. If you are coming to us from a great distance, you may be eligible to receive results via telehealth.
Telehealth assessment: We provide tele-testing services for patients who are unable to access our clinic in person, depending on the nature of the referral question.

Neuropsychologists: We review your medical history, cognitive concerns, performance of daily activities and neurologic symptoms.
Psychometrists: Psychometrists are skilled in administering a range of cognitive tests designed to assess memory, attention, language and other cognitive abilities.
Testing requires active participation to achieve accurate results. We understand that some tasks may challenge you, but we encourage you to do your best. We provide a compassionate, judgment-free environment to help you feel more comfortable with the process.

We meet with you to review the results and treatment recommendations after testing is complete. Our team provides a report and sends a copy to your referring provider.
