Preceptor Biographies: St. Anne Pharmacy Residency

Jean Pierre (JP) Banh is one of the Emergency Services department pharmacists and co-preceptor of the Emergency Medicine rotation at St. Anne Hospital. JP earned his doctor of pharmacy degree from SUNY at Buffalo in 2008. He then completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Highline Medical Center in 2009 and then stayed on as a clinical pharmacist. He assisted in establishing the Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist role at Highline in 2015 and has been the Emergency Services department pharmacist since establishment of the role. He has achieved Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification.

Loan Diga (Residency Program Director) is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist. She is the Pharmacist Specialist and the Residency Program Director for the PGY1 pharmacy residency at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health St. Anne Hospital. She is currently a member of ASHP and serves as primary preceptor of the Orientation, Internal Medicine, and Transitions of Care rotation and co-preceptor of Staffing rotation. Her areas of practice include internal medicine, transitions of care, and oncology. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Washington in 2015 and completed her PGY-1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Highline Medical Center in 2016. She is currently an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington Pharmacy Department and received a Certificate of Merit in Precepting Award from the University of Washington in 2021.

Diana Do is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and has worked as a clinical inpatient pharmacist at St. Anne Hospital since 2011. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from Rutgers University in 2011 and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at St. Anne Hospital in 2012. She assisted in establishing the Emergency Medicine Clinical Pharmacist role at St. Anne Hospital in 2015. She currently serves as a preceptor for both pharmacy students and pharmacy residents as well as a pharmacy resident mentor. Her areas of practice include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and critical care.

Rebecca Kingsley is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and clinical inpatient pharmacist at St. Anne Hospital. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Washington in 2009 and completed a PGY1 pharmacy practice residency at Highline Medical Center in 2010. She has been a clinical pharmacist at St. Anne Hospital since 2010, specializing in internal medicine. She is an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington Pharmacy Department. She serves as co-preceptor for the Internal Medicine rotation.

Bridget Lee is currently the Director of Pharmacy at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health St. Anne Hospital. She also serves as the primary preceptor for the Practice Management rotation. Previous to this, she served as the primary preceptor for the oncology rotation for five years as the Pharmacy Oncology Supervisor overseeing pharmacy services for oncology and the infusion clinic at St. Anne Cancer Center. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Washington and completed her PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at St. Anne Hospital. She received her Teaching Certificate from the University of Washington and received a Certificate of Merit in Precepting Award from the University of Washington in 2019.

Nami Lee received her Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Purdue University in 1991 and practiced as a hospital pharmacist in Indiana before relocating to Seattle in 1995. She worked as a clinical pharmacist in a hospital in Tacoma prior to starting her career at Highline Medical Center in 1999. During her career, she has been involved with P&T committee, helping with policy changes and protocols, as well as precepting students and residents. From 2004 to 2009, she officially served as resident preceptor for orientation, operations, and staffing. She is a member of the Critical Care Core group and will serve as primary preceptor for Critical Care rotation starting 2024.

Chau Luong Barlin earned her doctor of pharmacy degree from University of Washington in 1999 and completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency at Highline Medical Center in 2000. She is an affiliate faculty member at the University of Washington Pharmacy Department. She has attained board-certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist and Antimicrobial Stewardship through the Making a Difference in Infectious Disease program (MAD-ID). She is the primary preceptor for the Infectious Disease rotation and co-preceptor of Critical Care rotation at St. Anne Hospital. She co-chairs the Enhanced Antimicrobial Stewardship program at St. Anne and is the site Pharmacist Leader for the Antimicrobial Stewardship Program at St. Anne within the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health region. She is a member of the Infectious Disease and Antimicrobial Stewardship.

Lai Phan is a clinical pharmacist at St. Anne Hospital. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine School of Pharmacy in 2013. He currently serves as co-preceptor for the Oncology rotation in the outpatient infusion clinic. He is also a pharmacy resident mentor and his areas of practice include oncology, internal medicine and critical care.

Stephanie Underwood is one of the Emergency Services department pharmacists and co-preceptor of the Emergency Medicine rotation at St. Anne Hospital. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree in 2010 from the University Of Washington School of Pharmacy. She received Preceptor of the Year from Virginia Mason Medical Center in 2018. She has achieved Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) certification.

Joyce Wang (Residency Program Coordinator) is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and Oncology Pharmacy Supervisor at St. Anne Hospital overseeing pharmacy services for Oncology and the infusion clinic. She received her doctor of pharmacy degree from the University of Washington in 2007. She previously received her Doctor of Medicine from Shanghai Second Medical University in 1997. She has been a clinical pharmacist at St. Anne Hospital since 2007, specializing in internal medicine and critical care. She is a member of HOPA. She currently serves as primary preceptor for the Oncology rotation.

Stephanie Winkler received her Bachelor of Pharmacy from Washington State University in 1994 and her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from the University of Colorado in 2012. She has worked within the Franciscan Medical System since 1998 as an outpatient pharmacist in both retail and clinical settings. Currently she is a provider for Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Primary Care and Anticoagulation Clinics. Stephanie is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care.
