Neurology and Spine Research & Clinical Trials

The multidisciplinary research team includes neurologists, physiatrists, neurosurgeons, analysts, visiting scholars and fellows, working together to discover new information that can be used to improve patient outcomes.

Some of our recent investigations have focused on surgical appropriateness, ways to reduce hospital stays after surgery, new medications for multiple sclerosis, improving care for people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), treating chronic back pain, and team-based approaches to opioid management.

• Evergreen Chapter of the ALS Association, serving the needs of those living with ALS and their caregivers.
• Surgical Care and Outcomes Assessment Program (SCOAP), which collects crucial information about the quality of care and areas for improvement in neurosurgery.

Education engages patients as well as Center for Neurosciences & Spine professionals in relevant, stimulating learning. We learn and teach new understandings of care with experts on-site and with audiences around the world.
