Protecting Your Health Care Access and Choice

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health reaches new agreement with UnitedHealthcare

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is pleased to announce we have reached a new agreement with UnitedHealthcare that will allow United-insured patients to maintain in-network access to VMFH services, facilities and providers. This is a win for our patients who deserve access to high-quality, high-value health care services close to home, and we appreciate their patience as we have worked through this process.

Importantly, there will be no disruption in coverage for United-insured patients. The new agreement will ensure all United-insured patients continue to have in-network access to  all VMFH hospitals, clinics and providers. This includes St. Anne Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, St. Clare Hospital, St. Elizabeth Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, St. Joseph Medical Center, St. Michael Medical Center, and Virginia Mason Medical Center.

From the beginning, our goal in working with United has been to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of our patients today and in the future. We know these negotiations were stressful for our patients, the communities we serve, and our own team members. We sincerely appreciate your understanding during the negotiations.

We look forward to continuing serving patients for generations to come.
