Helping you achieve your best health is our goal. Whether it’s improving or restoring function after surgery, illness or injury, our expert team will work with you and your provider to create a personalized treatment plan to help you reach your full potential.

Here you’ll find an expert therapy staff with specialized training and expertise in both medical and surgical rehabilitation services, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language therapists.

Outpatient services

No matter what the reason is for needing therapy services, our comprehensive outpatient therapy program includes specialized expertise to meet your needs:

  • Physical therapy helps to restore or improve mobility, flexibility, and range of motion, particularly after surgery or injury.
  • Occupational therapy helps restore functional independence in daily living activities, providing techniques for adapting your home or work environment for greater function and ease of use.
  • Speech and language services treat swallowing disorders, communication issues such as stuttering or problems with voice or memory.

Inpatient services

Physical, occupational, and speech therapy services are available as part of these programs at several of our hospitals:

  • At all Virginia Mason Franciscan Health hospitals. Often, the faster you begin therapy, the better able you’ll be to restore function. Our therapists will begin working with you as quickly as possible while you’re in the hospital, and then help you make a seamless transition to our outpatient therapy services or health at home services.

  • Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients in their recovery journey. We offer customized, intense rehabilitation tailored to the individual needs of those recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. We strive to maximize the health, function and quality of life of those we serve through comprehensive physical medicine and rehabilitation programs.

  • After an injury or surgery, physical therapy can help restore or improve mobility, flexibility, range of motion, and relieve pain. Learn more about our innovative hip replacement and knee replacement programs.
