Through pain psychology classes, individuals learn a wide variety of evidence-based techniques for managing chronic pain. Our goal is to create an engaging, informative and empowering experience focused on the acquisition of effective and practical skills.
New patients referred for pain psychology are required to complete four pain education and coping skills classes (in order) with our pain psychologist prior to beginning individual sessions.
All classes are taught by Jennifer Kelly, PsyD, pain psychologist, and are 55 minutes long. Due to COVID-19 restrictions on in-person gatherings, all classes are currently being held virtually via Zoom. Classes are offered Wednesdays at 11 a.m. and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. You can choose either the Wednesday or Thursday class, depending on what works best for you.
