Heart Failure Symptom Self-Check

Be empowered to make informed health decisions! Knowing the signs and symptoms of heart failure is crucial for getting the care you need. Be aware of any changes in your body, especially fatigue and shortness of breath. If you suspect something may be wrong, see your primary care provider or cardiologist. Heart failure symptoms

People experience heart failure differently.  Track your symptoms with the Heart Care Zones tool to ensure you get help when you need it. Some of the common symptoms include:

  • Fatigue, especially if you find it is limiting your activities
  • Chest congestion or persistent coughing/wheezing
  • Ankle swelling
  • Shortness of breath
  • Rapid or irregular heartbeat
  • Sudden, unexplained weight gain
  • Lack of appetite
  • Chest pain
