St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale Celebrates One-Year Milestone

This month, St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale is celebrating one year since opening its new facility.

The new hospital builds on the over 100-year legacy of serving the community. Since opening on December 12, 2020, the hospital served over 138,000 patients from across the Kitsap and the Olympic Peninsulas.

This first year allowed the St. Michael Medical Center leadership and team to continuously refine daily operations to ensure all departments and processes are running as seamlessly as possible.

“I am incredibly impressed with all of the team members who not only made the new facility a reality, but continued to lead the transition throughout the challenges of the pandemic. The technology and innovation of the facility has enabled us to bring world-class care to the peninsula and I look forward to what we will accomplish together as a team in the next year,” said Chad Melton, St. Michael Medical Center president.

St. Michael’s also completed the full expansion of the campus in May 2021 with the opening of the Cancer Center and Medical Pavilion which in total have served over 4,000 cancer patients and over 46,000 patients in need of specialty care.

In 2022 and beyond, St. Michael Medical Center looks forward to continually meeting the growing needs of the region for generations to come.
