Sydney Bersante, Interim President, St. Joseph Medical Center, is a highly respected health care leader with deep hospital leadership and operational experience in the Pacific Northwest, including nearly 30 years as a successful operations executive at CHI Franciscan. 

A nurse by training, Sydney most recently served as Interim President at Virginia Mason Medical Center. Her career spans operational oversight of St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, St. Francis in Federal Way, St. Clare Hospital in Lakewood, and St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw. In addition, she provided executive oversight of several prominent service lines, including cardiovascular, neurosciences, and women’s and children’s.
