Danna Shaner was appointed president of St. Elizabeth Hospital in 2024, following her previous position as Director of Hospital Operations for the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system. She brings a remarkable track record of clinical experience, operational excellence, and leadership to the hospital and the Enumclaw community.

After launching her health career 22 years ago as a registered nurse, Danna continued to advance her career in a variety of leadership roles in both hospital and clinic settings. Her strong working knowledge of ambulatory and hospital operations includes Kaizen certification and 13 years of experience with the Virginia Mason Production System, a process improvement methodology for optimizing hospital operations and patient satisfaction.

Danna holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Western Governors University, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seattle Pacific University, and an Associate of Applied Arts and Science in Nursing from Shoreline Community College. In her personal life, she is passionate about spending time with her family, including her husband, who is a Lieutenant with the Seattle Fire Department, and their identical twin boys. Danna is thrilled to join St. Elizabeth and serve the Enumclaw community in her role as hospital president.
