With half of our residents being osteopathic physicians, we have made great strides in bringing osteopathic manipulative treatment (OMT) into our everyday clinic.
Our goal is to ensure that our osteopathic residents feel supported and have plenty of opportunities to refresh and hone their skills, and for the allopathic residents who are interested, to learn essential techniques for common presentations.
Our residency is committed to the pursuit of social justice and we seek to honor the unique attributes of all people. We developed the Social Justice Curriculum to recognize that each of us brings our unique attributes, perspectives, and experiences to each patient we see. We also bring our own areas of ignorance, blindness, and bias. No single individual can claim expertise in all aspects of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; therefore this curriculum embraces a flipped classroom model of education and encourages every resident, faculty physician, and staff member to both learn AND teach.
