What if every patient felt like the only patient?

Why come together?

Since 2016, CHI Franciscan and Virginia Mason have partnered on obstetrics and women’s health – opening a new birth center and women’s health clinic in Seattle last year – as well as a radiation oncology partnership at St. Anne Hospital and St. Francis Hospital. These partnerships have demonstrated the positive impact that is possible when the two systems work together and will serve as the model for integration across the system.

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health will leverage the best thinking and innovations from each legacy organization as one, unified health care system to create the future of health care that patients in our communities – and beyond – deserve.

Our region has long been one of the fastest growing in the country. It deserves a health system that is adaptable and is easy for patients to navigate. For generations, each legacy organization has been committed to our patients and communities. Together, as Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, we commit to enhancing care in our region for generations more.

Together, the combined organization has the highest quality outcomes in the region and the resources to invest in innovation that attracts and helps retain top talent. As a result, Virginia Mason Franciscan Health patients receive care from some of the best minds in health care.

Next Steps

We are excited for this new chapter of service to our patients and communities. For now, all patients will continue to have access to their same sites of care and will continue to use their current insurance plans. We will share updates with patients well in advance of any changes taking place.
